Hi ChevUribe,

 

Correct - by default no VMs in the DR site will be shutdown or suspended when you run the plan. Recovery site VM's will also not be shutdown if there is contention or lack of resources. It may be that your Protected VMs may not start but that's another issue.

 

Like the other poster said - you can suspend non-critical VMs at the DR site if you are concerned about DR site resources during the running of the plan. We use to do that for some non-critical infrastructure type VMs during the failover.
